Yesterday was a fairly inspiring day.
My flight was originally scheduled at
Smart move.
And hence, I watched the passengers boarding the flight that I was supposed to board but somehow didn’t at
When we finally arrived at
So, it wasn’t such a bad evening after all, right?
Wrong.
I was fortunate enough to be seated next to this couple who somehow can’t keep their bl**dy f**king traps shut throughout the first 20 minutes of the show. I had hinted my annoyance but somehow they just didn’t manage to get the message.
Finally, I politely and quietly said “Excuse me, but can you both stop talking?” I have done this in the past and most of the time, the addressees would be intelligent enough to shut their pie-holes but somehow, this Ah Beng decided that I actually had no right asking him to be silent. And so a 2 1/2-minute voice-over between Dom and Letty began:
Ah Beng: What’s your problem? How come you didn’t ask the people who are laughing around us to be quiet also?
Ms Righteous-ness: You have been talking since the beginning of the movie. Do you see them laughing from the start also? Since you enjoy talking so much, why don’t you just buy a DVD and watch it at home?
Ah Beng: You talk so much, why don’t you just go outside and lodge a complaint against me?
Ms Righteous-ness: I wonder who was the one who started talking a lot in the first place.
And then there was silence for about 5 seconds.
My adrenalin was pumping and I somehow had a feeling that if I was a guy, I would’ve bashed this skinny Ah Beng up right there and then.
He continued talking to his girlfriend continuously throughout the whole movie and she responded in a very timid tone.
I feel sorry for her and hope that she doesn’t end up marrying this man.
Maybe all he needs to do is quit pretending to be cultured and just stick to watching those DVDs that he sells for a living at the night market.
Perhaps only then, the world will somewhat be a better place.

You should have put a foot right up his bloody arse! But great for standing up against arsehole like that, gal!
Come on, let's be honest, it really took a lot of guts for me to actually speak up. Considering the fact that he's an Ah Beng and I'm a lady(bird), you never know what this species are capable of doing...
I could've ended up not arriving home in one piece last night.
i would suggest leaving your seat instead of sitting and listening to the blabbering of a socially handicapped/retarded person; am sure there're plenty of other vacant seats in the cinema. your pent up anger would just spoil the show and he on the other hand wouldn't be affected a single bit.
I agree with what your brother comment. but seriously these people are jerks!...(^_*)
Dear both, I have to disagree. Why should I leave my chosen seat when both of us actually paid the same price for ours? I'm sure that if I'd walked away there and then, he being the b**tard that he is, will gloat in triumph.
If everyone would have just walked away instead of saying it to his face, he would never realize that people somehow find him a pain in the a**. Maybe he would even think that it's actually okay to talk in cinemas.
Well, I guess a*seholes will always be a*seholes. I hope that he'll do better in his next life, if he comes back as a human instead of a donkey :)
I actually find it a 'thrill' to voice out my frustration to these rude ppl in the cinema...of course i dont raise my voice at them, i just need to make sarcastic remarks in the most delightful tone that will make them clench their teeth coz they dunno how to respond back....hahaha...hi five, Mel!
it is indeed true that someone has to remind him to be more civic minded. but given the propensity of him turning violent on you after his inability to produce an intellectual argument to save face, its gonna leave a bad taste. i'm sure people like him will be taught a good lesson when he meets someone who wouldn't hold back from putting him to shame physically in front of his girlfriend. then THAT would be a true lesson. well at least according to pavlov's rule haha
Siu-V: I didn't know that we are so much alike! I actually enjoy it a lot too... LOL.
Bro: I think this is a situation which will be quite similar to you being stuck in traffic on a road turning into a junction for almost 15 mins when all of a sudden, this smart alec thinks that it's absolutely okay for him to cut in line.
If you don't let him through, he'll do it again tomorrow and the day after and every single day of the week. Is this fair to you and those ppl who actually waited in line?
By letting him thru, you are also sending the msg that it's actually ok to do such thing to other drivers on the road. Hell, why shud I wait wif the rest of the idiots when I can jst go to the front?
But by not allowing him thru, you risk denting your car.
So what should you do?
